She asked "paper or plastic" and I looked at her and said
"rubber. Its elastic. I'm making a water-bed. I'll fill it with fish, dolphins,
and creatures of the sea." She didn't know whether to laugh or to call security.
At my place I invited her for a swim. We snorkled in the water; it was hazy, it
was dim. We dived for clams and oysters. It made a lovely dinner. I found a
pearl in my clam, guess I'm a natural winner.
I can't get out this time,
took the bait now I'm hooked on your line. I've taken my last breath.
It was
a jagged hook of death.
When you pierce the bait take a look in it's eye.
Thats the look you gave when I said goodbye. You'll have to wait for another
pull on your line. It won't be me. Not this time.
